Dear Friends, Gurus,
I have applied for EAD for the second time for my self and my wife (received the receipts only - renewal)
No FP till now. Opened two SR, it is of no use.
Called twice, first time IO was not that help full. Second time atleast he wanted to do some help.
No other go, so called my attorney for help. He has put a letter along with all the receipts explaining that no FP for my client. He has also send the same documentation and advised me to take an infopass, which I took. And it is in Dallas TX (early morning 8 AM)
So, please suggest if you have experience with infopass in Dallas TX
1. When to be there
2. What documentation to carry
3. How about parking
4. Any questions (so that I can compile and ask)
Any suggestions, help is highly appreciated.

I wanted to get some idea on why EB2 got stuck around Jan 03 when it flew past Apr 01 deadline.
EB2 was completely unaffected by 245(i) and had no reason to be stuck on Apr 01.
EB2 being stuck around Jan 03 etc... could actually be a good news for EB3. Why? It means that the number of people who abandoned their EB3 PDs to escape retrogression and filed for EB2 is very large!
The key thing to watch for India EB3 people is that PD should remain beyond May 1st, 2001. If it doesn' revert back to April, we can assume steady progress.
All in all, I don't see any reason why Jan 2003 will have any -ve affect on EB3... it could be +ve though.

For China-mainland born EB-2, if demand remains as has been seen over the last couple of months, it is expected that the 01 JAN 03 cut-off date will hold, and it is likely that all numbers will be used within the current cut-off date. The State Dept. has ssured that it is looking for mechanisms to maximize number usage so that no visa numbers remain unallocated, and is looking for ways to make additional India and China-mainland born numbers available, such as by making sure that unused numbers that had been sent to consular posts are promptly returned

For every IV member that gets their GC, would it be too much to ask them to contribute say at least $100/- ? May be this can become a norm and the starting point for an "IV Alumni" :)
The folks who will be getting their GC's in the next 2 months can show the way - Along with posting the happy news that you got your GC and of course posting your RD and ND and PD and the fact whether you had AC21 or EAD or whatever :), will it be too much to give something back to the community that helped you all the way?
I think this would be a noble gesture in support of this organization that has supported the cause of lots and lots of employment based immigrants.

Withdrawal of H1 does not create any issues. Since she is on H1 Since Oct 1, 2007 - make sure you have a pay stub for her for this period.

I have I-140 filed and waiting for visa numbers to be current my PD is March 05 and Her name is given in I-140.
Since she will exhaust all her H1B years by end of this sept, he needs to be on either h4 or F1.
I have long wait for filing I-485, can she be on F1 in the meantime and then convert on H4 right before I could file for AOS?

Dates were current till 2005. They were again current in between.

Proves that we are not cheap labor and we are not driving the salaries down. I know citizens in my position in my company are not being paid more than me. We had waited for three months to fill a position and we have to compromise in the end because we could not get enough resumes to go through.

I have taken infopass 2 times in last 2 years, and they just tell me - we cannot tell anything about that info from the "screen" they have access to.
They just give a vague answer that everything is in order but your visa numbers are not available for your dates, you need to wait for visa number
I went twice, both the time they gave me that info. Not only that, they can tell you if your case was assigned to an IO or not and also when the IO reviwed you application lately. You will have to specifically ask them.

3 weeks seem to be still in the ballpark. Took about that long to get my FP notice too. Did you e-file? Paper-filers do not get FP notice.

Can someone please confirm if "Card Production Ordered" email from USCIS mean my 485 is approved and I have gotten GC ?
I have only got this "Card Production Ordered" email and not an email specifically saying "485 approved". How long does it take after "Card Production Ordered" email to get actual card.
Also if May bulletin is Unavailable it still means that GC;s issued if your date is current in April are valid ? My email came yesterday same day as the new May bulletin ?
