Postchronicle reports that Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders will "go Green" this season, to draw attention to this year's cheercalender, based on an enviromentally conscience theme.All 38 cheerleaders belonging to the Eagles squad will be featured in the 16-month Bikini Cheercalendar that starts at the beginning of the NFL season and emcompasses all of 2009.
Along with the bikinis that were made from fibers of plastic soda bottles and all-natural dyes and belts composed of bamboo and glass, the calender itself will be published on recycled paper.
The Bikini calender, tickets, programs and even stadium toilet paper are already produced from recycled items. The beverage cups are now biodegradable and solar panels were installed on the roof of the corporate headquarters.
The calender went on sale this month and can be purchased at the team website here.
